English/Math Middle School Teacher to start Feb 2016

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, Middle School Teacher with strengths in both English and Math to start in February 2016. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Math and English in the Middle School. Experience in Cambridge Secondary 1 would be an advantage, however, teachers with a strong teaching background and experience are very welcome to apply.

Applicants will be required to have strong classroom management skills and be able to inspire children to challenge themselves and empower them in their own learning. Class sizes are normally no more than 25 students per class.

The successful applicant for this post will:
· Be passionate about young people and education;
· Hold a degree and Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent from a country that speaks English as a first language; (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and, USA)
· Have up-to-date knowledge and background in their major.
· Be able to engage and motivate pupils;
· Use Assessment for learning strategies to inform future planning;
· Be highly motivated as an individual and be able to work enthusiastically as part of a diverse team;

In addition the following qualities would be seen as desirable:
· A completed contract in an international setting.
· Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
· Experience working in a CIE environment.
