Summary:
This private, international education campus in Pudong, Shanghai provides a dual- language experience for expat and local families. The learning standards are drawn primarily from USA, as well as Australia, Canada and China. At this school, children will discover more about themselves and how they relate to the world around them through creative activities that provide a basic foundation for literacy, math, music, art and personal, social and emotional development. In the classroom, teachers are encouraged to be co-learners; instead of passively observing, you are asked to actively engage in the activities with their students.
The school gives the teacher the responsibility to create the curriculum for their class. There is a full time staff member dedicated to curriculum development who the teacher will meet with each week. There is also an abundant supply of resources available for the classroom, from art supplies to decorative materials to cooking materials. The training and on- going support from the staff and other teachers will ensure that you grow quickly as a teacher!
