With a hundred year’s history, our school has carried out innovative Sino-US High School Cooperation Program, introducing American education system and pedagogy to our school, and adopting American curriculum and teaching materials. We are currently seeking to employ full time ESL/TOEFL teachers to offer high quality education to students.

Work Location: a public high school in Fuzhou, Fujian Province

Contract period: an initial one year contract starting from September 1st, 2015

Teaching subjects available: ESL (Listening, Speaking, American History, Western Civilization, etc.), TOEFL (Listening, Speaking, Writing, etc.)

Students: high school students of Sino-US program

Workload: 18 hours/week, including course delivering, office time, one-on-one tutorial, and other course-related work such as assignments and exams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Native English speaker;
2) Bachelor’s degree or above;
3) One or more years of English teaching experience;
4) Professional, responsible, outgoing and energetic;
5) TESOL/ TEFL certificate (or alike) required;

Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 30 teaching hours per week
-40-hour work week
-Research and devise lesson plans that are age-appropriate
-Prepare educational resources for teaching prior to school commencement
-Schedule and set up teaching itinerary and class timetables
-Arrange and allocate classrooms and additional facilities
-Photocopy student worksheets and mark educational material provided to students
-Maintain order and discipline amongst students at all times
-Ensure that the students are kept in a safe and hazard-free environment at all times
-Devise lessons appropriate to student academic and linguistic differentiation
-Discuss with fellow teachers on the students’ academic level and their class designations
-Participate and maintain supervisory duties during activities or excursions with students
-Attend school events and liaise with parents
-Maintain tidiness of classroom and activity areas
-Adhere to any and all requirements relating to local Child Protection Legislation
-Assist in any reasonable duty as required by the principal or superintendent
-Uphold the principle set by the school

Teaching Hours per week (apply teaching job): Maximum of 30 teaching hours per week
Office Hours per week 40-hour work week:
Working Days per week 5 Days per week
Students’ Age: 3-6
Class Size: 20
Duration of each class : ~40 Minutes/Class

Foreign Teachers Requirements
Nationality: Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Ireland

Degree: Bachelor degree or above
Major: Preferred early childhood education
Sex Required No limitation, Spouse allowed
Age Required: Teaching/Working Experience
Minimum 2 years teaching experience required; maximum cap of 10 years
Arrival time :August 15th
Other Requirement
-Bachelor’s degree with teaching certificate
-ECE degree/experience preferred
-TEFL-C certificate preferred
-Fluency in oral and written English
-Able to lead activities in either sports, music or art activities organized for the students and be proactive in approaching all situations
-Culturally aware, motivated and passionate in teaching young learners
-International experience/living abroad preferred

Terms of Employment
Contract Length: August 15th,2015 to August 15th,2016
Salary: 18,000 to 26,000 RMB per month (depending on qualifications and teaching ability) *Base salary annual increase will be index linked
Airfare Allowance : Airfare reimbursement provided to a maximum of RMB 9375 with half paid upon arrival to school and the second half paid at the conclusion of the academic year
Insurance保险
Comprehensive Medical Insurance for Foreigners and People from Hong Kong Macao and Taiwan insurance is offered to all teachers
Apartment : Housing allowance provided RMB 30,000 for employees with one full year contract
Utility :Paid by teachers
Over Work Allowance : yes
Holidays: Paid Holidays : 11 days national holidays
Z Visa

Other Allowance:
Performance Bonus is calculated as 1/12th of guaranteed compensation and paid monthly, based on attendance, professional performance and academic results of students taught
Professional training from TEFL-C of Columbia and on-going program supervision
All employees may be compensated to a maximum of five years for professional experience
