About Forum organizer position

This is an important position with responsibility for helping the forums executive of the Beijing office organizing vibrant and groundbreaking conferences about retail banking, risk management, capital markets, and banking technology. The Beijing forums department has only been on the ground for two years but is already making an impact. The person will help the lead researcher build charts, graphs, and info grams using excel. This person will help organize keynote speakers, delegates, and guest for The Asian Banker major conferences, such as The Asian Summit.

The role will involve:
-Working online side the forums manager in organizing major banking conferences
– Contacting Chinese banking executives, and sometimes banking executives in Asia and the West.
– Clearly communicating with the forums manager your progress and who you are contacting.
– Translating important documents from English to Chinese.
– Organizing keynote speakers, delegates guest for important conferences.
-Doing research on the stars of certain industries, such as risk management, big data, retail banking, and capital markets.

Qualifications
– At least a junior in college.
– Understands how to use excel and Word.
– Able to translate from Chinese to English.
– Has a passion in organizing people for forums, events, and conferences
– Able to write in clear, precise Chinese
– Has knowledge in Chinese banking or economics
– Excellent communication skills in Chinese. Knows how to talk to banking executives.
– Proficient communication in English, including listening, reading, writing and speaking
– Cantonese, Thai, Indonesia, or any other Asian languages is a plus

The Students

The Courses
Standard Classes
Class sizes are kept small, to an average of 3 students per class, which helps ensure real progress is made by all and allows for easy classroom management.

Lessons are made up of a variety of teaching materials and are designed to be engaging and communicative. Teachers guide students through both controlled practice and authentic conversation activities. All the lesson materials are already in place, so minimal lesson planning is required.

Social Club
Teachers also run sessions with more of a social focus, designed to further give students the opportunity to use their language in a natural setting, while having fun at the same time. Topics are limited only by your imagination and can be anything from baking cookies to speed dating.

As with all language schools, classes are delivered on evenings and weekends, giving teachers plenty of time off during weekday mornings and afternoons.

Professional Development
You will not only be teaching, but also developing your own skill sets and competencies. Teacher training and support is central to our company culture and through workshops, seminars and class observations you will be constantly expanding the teaching methods at your disposal.
